Salary: £33,755.00 – £39,547.00 per year + £4,500 Car Allowance Hours: Full-Time, Permanent (37 hours per week; Monday – Thursday 09:00 – 17:00, Friday 09:00 – 16:30)

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is partnering with Five Rivers Child Care Ltd (operating through our subsidiary, The Fostering Company) to recruit a dedicated Supervising Social Worker for our Northeast service based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Operating out of an office rated 'Good' by Ofsted, this is a vital role focused on delivering high levels of supervision, monitoring, and intervention to support our foster carers.
You will enjoy a varied, dynamic working day with a realistic caseload, working within a trauma-informed practice model that incorporates therapeutic principles. Responsibilities include completing Form F Assessments, contributing to children and young people's participation and strategy events, and participating in our out-of-hours support rota.

Carer Supervision: Provide rigorous supervision, support, and professional intervention to foster carers across the Northeast region.
Assessments & Planning: Complete Form F Assessments and contribute actively to children and young people's care planning and strategy events.
Therapeutic Practice: Embed our trauma-informed model, supported by clinical supervision and multi-disciplinary integration with our education and residential services.
Out-of-Hours Cover: Participate in the team's out-of-hours support rota to ensure continuous care for carers and children.
Qualifications & Registration: A formal Social Work qualification and current registration with Social Work England.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional social work experience.
Mobility & Compliance: A valid UK driving licence and the Right to Work in the UK.
Skills & Attributes: Good written and IT skills, strong communication, active listening, and a genuine passion for making a positive difference in children's lives.
