Marie Curie is recruiting a registered nurse for the inpatient unit at its Newcastle hospice. You would care for people with complex symptoms and at the end of life, working day and night shifts as part of the hospice team. This is a 12-month fixed-term post.

Pay: £32,073 to £39,043 per year pro rata (Band 5), plus enhancements
Hours: Part time, 22.5 hours per week, days (7:30am to 8pm) and nights (7:30pm to 8am); 12-month fixed term
Location: Marie Curie Hospice Newcastle, Inpatient Unit, Newcastle upon Tyne
Closing date: 3 November 2026 – the employer may close it early

What the employer is asking for:

• RGN (level 1) registration

• Understanding of palliative and end of life care, including complex symptoms

• Excellent communication skills

• An enhanced DBS check
