About the Role
Are you ready to take the next step toward managing your own store? Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner to recruit a motivated and dynamic Customer Team Leader for a fast-paced food store in Sunderland.
In this role, you’ll lead a small team, keep shelves stocked, and deliver essential services to your community. Whether you're working in the post office, bakery, or supporting home delivery drivers, you will set the pace on the shop floor and make life easier for our customers every single day.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Your Shift: Take ownership of daily store operations by leading, motivating, and coaching your team.
Hands-On Operations: Work actively on the shop floor and tills, maintaining stock accuracy, merchandising standards, and operational efficiency.
Community & Membership: Champion Co-op values through local community engagement and driving membership growth.
Team Support: Guide Customer Team Members and support store performance, including basic HR processes.
What We Are Looking For

Age Requirement: Must be aged 18 or older to authorise age-related sales.
Core Traits: A passion for people, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work flexibly and lead by example.
Flexibility: Available for varied shifts including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing), and including at least 1 weekend shift (to be discussed at interview).
Experience: Experience in retail, merchandising, or team management is welcome, but not essential—full training is provided, and no CV is needed to apply!
