About the Role
Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is thrilled to partner with Branston to recruit an organized and detail-oriented Production Planner for their B Shift operations in Lincoln.
In this critical scheduling role, you will ensure seamless coordination across multiple departments to optimize workflow, labor, and resources. By aligning production demands with supply chain realities, you will play a direct role in driving efficiency, reducing waste, and maximizing operational output.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Workflow & Schedule Planning: Plan and schedule department workflows based on demand forecasts and lead times.
Labour Forecasting & Control: Forecast agency labour needs based on supply chain requirements, and manage labor planning around specific SKUs and required hours.
Material & Resource Coordination: Ensure adequate production materials are consistently available; coordinate with Maintenance to schedule line availability for inspections and preventative maintenance.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Attend daily cross-department and multi-site stock meetings, working closely with operations, technical, engineering, hygiene, procurement, and supply chain teams.
Data Integrity & Real-Time Updates: Monitor and update provisional data in real time to maintain accurate capacity models and labour plans; audit ERP and payroll systems for accuracy.
Operational Alignment: Work with Production Managers to manage rotas, holidays, and shift coverage, while integrating hygiene requirements into the production plan.
Performance Improvement: Investigate and help reduce rework in collaboration with production and despatch teams, participating in daily site meetings to report on order profiles and forecasts.
Skills & Experience Required
Experience: Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar logistics/operational role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Technical Proficiency: Strong command of planning systems and tools (e.g., NAV, payroll software, scheduling packages) and advanced analytical capabilities.
Competencies: Excellent problem-solving skills, outstanding communication abilities, and the capacity to balance multiple priorities under pressure.
