Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Bradford Council to recruit an experienced Lift Surveyor / Project Manager within the Mechanical and Electrical Compliance team, part of the Built Environment Asset & Facilities Management division.
In this vital role, you will ensure the authority maintains health and safety compliance across all lifts and lifting equipment, accurately monitoring, managing, and project-managing installations and repairs across offices, schools, theatres, and community properties.
As Lift Surveyor / Project Manager, you will conduct condition surveys, prepare detailed specifications, and oversee projects ranging from minor repairs to £500,000 installations. Key responsibilities include:
Condition Surveys & Reporting: Carrying out general and urgent condition surveys, writing comprehensive reports, and maintaining database records.
Project Management: Project managing new lifts and lifting equipment installations from conception to completion.
Estimating & Design: Preparing estimates (valued from £100.00 to £500,000.00) and detailed design specifications for all council departments.
Compliance & Safety: Ensuring full understanding and adherence to current Health and Safety legislation, CDM regulations, planning, and building regulations.
Stakeholder Coordination: Handling urgent repairs via the helpdesk, surveying for potential third-party clients, and staying up to date with new lifting technologies and products.
We are looking for a dedicated technical professional who brings:
A proven track record within the field of lift surveying and/or project management.
A minimum of seven years of experience within the lifting industry.
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
A solid knowledge of statutory compliance, health and safety regulations, and building standards.
The ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a dedicated team.
