Role Description

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and creative Gardener to manage and preserve the outdoor grounds at Lotus Manor Care Home in Woking, UK. Working on a permanent part-time basis (20 hours per week), you will ensure the care home's gardens, walkways, and green spaces remain attractive, safe, and accessible for residents, visitors, and staff.

This position is ideal for an individual passionate about horticulture and outdoor maintenance within a care setting. If you possess a solid understanding of garden health, health and safety regulations (COSHH), and a compassionate, person-centred approach, this role offers an engaging and rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain flowerbeds, lawns, shrubs, trees, and outdoor structures (fencing) to maintain high visual and safety standards.

• Perform seasonal ground care tasks, including winter snow/ice clearing and garden pest treatment in accordance with COSHH guidelines.

• Create stimulating, accessible outdoor environments for care home residents and participate in annual organizational gardening competitions.

Requirements

• Practical experience in gardening, groundskeeping, or land maintenance.

• Strong working knowledge of health and safety practices and COSHH regulations for garden treatments.

• Patient, empathetic nature with a respectful approach toward care home residents.
