Working Pattern: Part-time or Full-time (4 to 8 sessions per week, with flexible start and finish times)

We are acting on behalf of Greenwich Health Ltd—the GP Federation in Greenwich—to recruit two or more dedicated Salaried General Practitioners to work within Valentine Primary Care Network (PCN) and Valentine Health Partnership, a large, innovative, and state-of-the-art GP training practice serving over 32,000 patients across Woolwich and Shooters Hill.
In this role, you will perform as an autonomous general practitioner, working independently and alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients in primary care. You will deliver a balanced mix of face-to-face and online/telephone consultations, participate in extended-hours services, and help drive clinical excellence across the borough.
1. Clinical Consultation & Patient Care
Undertake surgeries, online consultations, telephone triage, and query management in a timely fashion.
Examine, assess, diagnose, and treat patients, issuing computer-generated prescriptions and developing patient-centred care plans in line with local formularies and QOF guidelines.
Undertake a fair share of on-call sessions, extended-hours enhanced services, and emergency home visits when clinically indicated.
2. Multidisciplinary Collaboration & Governance
Work closely with an extensive support team, including clinical pharmacists, paramedics, mental health workers, social prescribers, physiotherapists, and an experienced nursing team backed by clinical assistants.
Maintain clear, contemporaneous consultation records and actively participate in clinical audits, significant event reviews, and practice meetings.
Uphold professional standards in line with the GMC code of conduct, ensuring strict patient confidentiality and effective risk management.
Essential Criteria
Qualifications & Registration: Qualified GP with MRCGP, Vocational Training Certificate (or CCT equivalent), full GMC registration, and registration on the National Performers List (England).
Professional Standing: Appropriate medical defence indemnity (MPS/MDU) and eligibility to practice independently in the UK.
Competencies: Strong IT literacy (including EMIS experience), excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and robust time-management abilities.
Vetting Requirements: Must successfully pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
