Location: Spalding (Home to a team of around 540 colleagues producing coleslaw, potato salad, salad bar bulk products, pasta salads, and grains for major UK retailers including Morrisons, Co-op, Asda, Aldi, Sainsbury’s, and Nando's)
Pay Rate: Up to £14.74 per hour
Job Type: Permanent - Full-Time
Shift Pattern: Continental Shift 2/2/3, 18:00 – 06:00 (Nights)

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Greencore (following their combination with Bakkavor) to find dedicated hygiene and operations talent. Greencore is one of the UK’s leading convenience food creators, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their Spalding facility, we are currently seeking a meticulous and safety-conscious Hygiene Operative to ensure all food manufacturing areas, machinery, and equipment meet the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Sanitisation: Carry out daily cleaning of factory areas as part of a team, schedule and execute deep cleaning of large machinery, and maintain hygiene standards throughout production shifts.
Safety & Compliance: Wear full PPE (including chemical suits, visors, wellington boots, gloves, and safety goggles), handle and store chemicals safely, and promote a strong health and safety culture.
Documentation & Reporting: Complete paperwork to document cleans accurately and promptly report any damaged equipment or machinery.
What We Are Looking For
While full training and education are provided, ideal candidates will bring:
Core Skills: A basic understanding of English (both verbal and written) and high attention to detail.
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or a background with COSHH and HACCP principles is highly advantageous, though not essential.
