Location: Spalding (Home to a team of around 540 colleagues producing coleslaw, potato salad, salad bar products, pasta salads, and grains for major retailers like Morrisons, Co-op, Asda, Aldi, Sainsbury’s, Nando’s, and Pizza Hut, featuring an on-site restaurant and hot food canteen)
Pay Rate: Up to £13.71 per hour depending on skill level
Job Type: Permanent - Full-Time
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shift, 2s & 3s, 06:00 – 18:00 (Days)

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Greencore (following their combination with Bakkavor) to find dedicated technical and hygiene talent. Greencore is one of the UK’s leading convenience food creators, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their Spalding facility, we are currently seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Hygiene Operative to undertake all aspects of cleaning and sanitising food manufacturing areas, equipment, and machinery to meet strict food hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Sanitisation: Carry out daily factory cleaning as part of a team, schedule and execute deep cleaning of large machinery, and maintain consistent hygiene standards across assigned areas and lines during production shifts.
Safety & Compliance: Wear full PPE (including chemical suits, visors, wellingtons, gloves, and safety goggles), work safely in both chilled and hot environments, and handle/store chemicals correctly.
Documentation & Reporting: Complete accurate paperwork to document cleans and promptly report any damaged equipment or machinery while promoting a strong health and safety culture.
What We Are Looking For
Experience & Training: Full training and education will be provided, so previous experience is a bonus rather than a necessity. Any background with COSHH and HACCP is highly advantageous!
Core Skills: A basic understanding of English (both verbal and written) is a must, alongside a willingness to learn and work effectively as part of a diverse team.
