Job Title: Lifestyle & Wellness Co-ordinator
Location: The Donnington Care Home, Wantage Road, Donnington, Newbury RG14 3BE
Rate of Pay: £13.30 to £14.30 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time (20 hours per week, covering Saturday and Sunday)
We are partnering with The Donnington Care Home in Newbury—an exceptional facility holding a "Good" CQC rating and an outstanding 9.7/10 score on carehome.co.uk—to find a creative and energetic Lifestyle & Wellness Co-ordinator. Set in scenic countryside surroundings within a converted red-brick Victorian house, The Donnington delivers round-the-clock nursing, residential, convalescence, respite, and specialist care, maintaining a vibrant and supportive community environment.
As a Weekend Lifestyle & Wellness Co-ordinator through Supportive Bridge, you will act as the "chief fun officer," creating a vibrant, joy-filled atmosphere for our residents. You will dream up exciting events, manage activity budgets, coordinate tailored schedules from arts and crafts to garden parties, and foster meaningful connections and therapeutic wellbeing experiences.
Run engaging morning and afternoon activity sessions over the weekend, ranging from gentle chair-based exercise to book clubs, baking, and pub quizzes.
Produce and update a dynamic activity planner for the home, working closely to a set activities budget and maintaining necessary paperwork.
Organise special birthday surprises and coordinate one-to-one sessions involving reminiscing tools, puzzles, reading, or a simple chat over a cup of tea.
Liaise with external companies, local community performers, and guests to organise exciting days out and special events at the home.
Support the home with managing its social media channels as required.
