About the Role
We are acting on behalf of Alliance Medical Ltd—Europe’s leading independent provider of imaging services—to recruit a skilled and motivated PET-CT Radiographer / Technologist to join their team at Southampton University Hospital.

You will undertake a comprehensive on-the-job competency programme developed in collaboration with the Christie School of Oncology via the PET-CT training academy, empowering you to build a rewarding, long-term career in advanced diagnostic imaging.
Key Responsibilities
Imaging & Radiopharmaceuticals: Safely handle, prepare, and dispense radiopharmaceuticals, performing high-quality PET-CT and CT examinations in accordance with clinical protocols.
Patient Care & Safety: Deliver a compassionate, patient-centred service, ensuring individuals are supported, informed, and comfortable throughout their diagnostic journey.
Clinical Procedures: Perform IV cannulation as required (full training provided if you do not have prior experience).
Team Collaboration: Work flexibly across teams, communicate effectively with patients, referrers, and multidisciplinary colleagues, and maintain accurate digital records.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
Registration: If applying as a Radiographer, you must hold current registration with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent voluntary registration.
Background & Skills: A background in Nuclear Medicine or general Radiography, strong IT literacy, exceptional interpersonal and time-management skills, and a high energy, flexible approach to working hours and multi-site operations.
Attributes: A positive attitude toward change, strong self-motivation, and a genuine commitment to delivering high standards of patient safety and care.
Desirable Criteria
Prior hands-on experience working in PET-CT or handling radiopharmaceuticals.
Existing CT experience and a valid IV Cannulation certificate.
