About the Opportunity

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with BAE Systems—a global leader in defence, aerospace, and security—to source an innovative and driven Summer Intern in Air Information Management and Technology (IM&T) for an exciting 12-week summer placement in Lancashire.

As part of the world-renowned Air Team, you will support the delivery of IM&T projects that provide vital capabilities to the business and its customers. This hands-on internship offers an extraordinary platform to develop data-driven solutions, maintain advanced manufacturing systems, and contribute to world-leading aircraft programs like the Typhoon, F-35, and Tempest.

Role Overview

Working across diverse IM&T processes, services, and projects, you will help manage technology initiatives, investigate and resolve complex issues, and shape IT requirements alongside in-house customers. You will play an active role in planning, scheduling, and monitoring work to ensure high quality standards and business objectives are met.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Project Delivery: Help manage IM&T projects delivering essential capabilities to the business and customers.

• Data Solutions: Develop data-driven solutions to enhance business understanding, performance, and decision-making.

• System Maintenance: Maintain and improve the design, business, and manufacturing systems that underpin pioneering products.

• Requirements Gathering: Work closely with in-house customers to understand and shape their IT system requirements.

• Planning & Execution: Investigate and resolve complex issues while planning, scheduling, and monitoring work to meet quality targets and deadlines.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Academic Background: Must be on track to obtain a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in any academic discipline (All subjects considered).

• Working Arrangement: On-site presence in Warton or Samlesbury 5 days per week.

• Security Clearance: All applicants must achieve, as a minimum, the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Note: Due to security and export control restrictions, candidates must meet national identity, birthplace, and residency criteria (typically requiring continuous UK residency of 5 to 10 years for higher-level national security vetting).
