As an Electrical Craftsperson within our healthcare estates team at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, you will help ensure critical hospital infrastructure operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.
Your work will directly contribute to a positive impact on the local community by maintaining essential electrical systems that healthcare professionals depend on every single day. From preventative routines to urgent fault rectification, you will protect both people and the long-term integrity of the estate.
Repairs & Maintenance: Carry out reactive repairs, fault finding, servicing, commissioning, and maintenance across a wide range of plant, services, and equipment.
Preventative Care: Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to ensure maximum reliability and full regulatory compliance.
Quality & Safety Standards: Maintain high standards of safety, technical efficiency, and workmanship across all tasks.
Escalation & Parts Management: Identify faults promptly, escalate operational issues, and request parts or support when required.
Compliance & Documentation: Accurately complete work orders and compliance documentation using internal digital systems, adhering strictly to all workplace regulations and best practice guidelines.

Experience: Proven practical experience in electrical maintenance within a complex environment.
Technical Skills: Strong fault-finding capabilities and the ability to work independently.
Communication: Good communication and customer service skills, delivered with a strong focus on care, professionalism, and collaboration.
Health & Safety: A solid working awareness of health and safety practices and clear recognition of professional limitations.
Vetting Readiness: Successful completion of a Standard DBS check (covering spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act) and an Occupational Health Questionnaire.
Financial Package: Competitive starting salary of £34,231 – £38,478 per annum depending on experience.
