Position: Night Care Team Leader / Care Leader
Location: Monkscroft Care Centre, Shelley Road, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL51 7DP
Pay Rate: £15.67 per hour (plus higher rates for weekends)
Shift Pattern: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM (Bank shifts available)

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are partnering to recruit an experienced and inspiring Night Care Team Leader for Monkscroft Care Centre. Located in the heart of Cheltenham, this charming and comfortable home offers outstanding, person-centred dementia and nursing care for up to 80 residents in a friendly environment.
In this vital night-time leadership role, you will lead a dedicated team of care assistants to deliver exceptional, compassionate care through the night. Supporting the Home Manager, you will ensure care plans are regularly reviewed and effectively implemented, providing our residents with security, dignity, and independence while empowering your team to excel.
Night Shift Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor the night care team, fostering a supportive, professional, and calm environment.
Care Plan Oversight: Ensure resident care plans are continually assessed, updated, and implemented to the highest standards.
Quality & Safety: Maintain outstanding care standards, promoting resident safety, comfort, and dignity throughout the night.
Team Collaboration: Act as a positive role model, using your initiative to resolve queries and support colleagues effectively.
Experience & Qualifications: Previous experience in a residential care setting holding an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or holding Level 2 with a willingness to study for Level 3).
Leadership Skills: Prior supervisory experience (such as mentoring starters or delegating tasks) is wonderful, though strong natural leadership and initiative are key.
Attributes: Excellent communication skills, a calm and reassuring manner under pressure, and a passion for elderly care.
Competitive Pay: £15.67 per hour, with higher pay rates for weekend shifts.
