Position: Driver / Loader (HGV Class 2)
Location: Lufton Depot (7 Artillery Road, Lufton, Yeovil, Somerset, BA22 8RP)
Salary: £36,733.94 per annum + £5,000 Welcome Bonus (Subject to T&Cs)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 06:15 – 14:45)

About the Role
We are proud to partner with our client as a supportive staffing agency to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Driver / Loader for their team based in Yeovil. Whether you are an experienced driver or newly qualified, this hands-on role keeps you active, valued, and well-rewarded while delivering essential waste and recycling services to local communities.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Loading: Safely operate Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs) and recycling vehicles, while regularly getting out of the cab to support the team with loading (up to 150 times or more each day).
Service Delivery: Provide a reliable, high-quality waste and recycling collection service to local residents with a strong focus on efficiency and customer care.
Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to health and safety standards at all times, ensuring safe vehicle operation and teamwork on site.
Working Pattern: Contracted Monday to Friday (06:15 – 14:45), with requirements to work Saturdays following a bank holiday, plus regular opportunities for overtime at enhanced rates.

What We Are Looking For
Licence & Qualifications: A valid Class 2 (Category C) licence, an in-date CPC card, and an active Tachograph card (Newly qualified drivers are very welcome to apply!).
Attitude & Skills: A reliable, safety-focused mindset, good communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a team player attitude.
Experience: Waste or RCV experience is advantageous, but not essential as full training is provided.
