About the Role
As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are partnering to recruit a dedicated and caring Housekeeper for Apple Trees Care Home in Grantham.
Our housekeepers play an essential role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the home, ensuring every room and living space is clean, tidy, and safe. You will use specialised equipment and materials to create a welcoming, comfortable environment for residents and their loved ones. Plus, some of our residents love joining in with simple cleaning or laundry tasks, so you may even have some friendly extra help along the way!
Key Responsibilities
Cleanliness & Maintenance: Ensure all individual rooms, communal areas, and living spaces are kept immaculately clean and tidy.
Infection Control: Act as a champion for hygiene, utilizing specialised cleaning materials and equipment safely and effectively.
Resident Connection: Build warm, sensitive relationships with elderly residents, occasionally involving them in light housekeeping or laundry routines.
Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly alongside the wider care team to maintain a safe, warm, and supportive home environment.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Previous housekeeping experience is fantastic, but not essential—we provide full, comprehensive training for candidates new to the role!
Compassion: Comfortable in an elderly care setting with a caring, respectful, and sensitive approach to residents.
Attitude: Someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, enjoys being part of a team, and is eager to learn.
