As the Registered Manager, you will head the team to provide a safe, caring, responsive, and effective service for residents, ensuring delivery of the highest possible care standards fully compliant with all CQC statutory regulations while achieving your operational and quality assurance KPIs. Responsibilities include:
Resident Choice & Dignity: Ensuring residents understand available care and treatment choices, promoting choice, dignity, and individuality.
Care Reviews: Reviewing existing care provision to meet current physical and mental health needs, liaising with residents, staff, health professionals, and social workers.
Quality Assurance & Auditing: Ensuring audits are carried out to understand service quality and taking quick reparative action when concerns arise.
Safety & Compliance: Ensuring effective risk assessments are in place to protect resident needs and overall home safety.
Team Leadership & HR: Inducting new staff, providing regular training, supervision, and motivation, and managing performance or disciplinary actions as required.
Staffing & Contingency: Effectively staffing services to cover resident needs with robust contingency plans for unexpected absences.
Safeguarding & Complaints: Investigating safeguarding, abuse, or service delivery complaints, ensuring notifications and the duty of candour are managed properly.
Essential:
A minimum of 12 months remaining on your right to work in the UK.
Management qualification at QCF Level 4 or equivalent (or a willingness to work towards it).
QCF Level 4 or higher in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
Previous care experience within the Learning Disability sector.
Demonstrable knowledge of the care sector, including running supported living homes and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent leadership and management skills.
Experience working with vulnerable client groups.
Desirable:
Previous CQC registration in a residential service is preferable.
