Salary: £31,689 - £37,932 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time (Aligned with local authority terms)
Are you an experienced English educator passionate about making a transformative impact on vulnerable young lives? We are expanding our teaching team at Field Gate School in Doncaster—a small, specialized independent school catering for children and young people aged 6 to 18.
In this varied and rewarding role, you will deliver English lessons through a flexible teaching model, utilizing bespoke therapeutic and educational frameworks tailored to each individual student. Operating within a trauma-informed practice model backed by our Attachment and Trauma Sensitive School Gold Award, you will teach students either within the classroom or via community outreach for children unable to attend traditional school settings.
Deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons tailored to the bespoke needs of SEMH students aged 6–18.
Follow a flexible teaching structure, supporting students both inside the classroom and out in the community.
Work within a trauma-informed, therapeutic framework to help students build confidence, self-esteem, and independence.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support emotional regulation alongside academic progress.
Maintain clear records, communicate effectively with families and external agencies, and champion student advocacy.
Essential Qualifications: NQT or QTS registration and the Right to Work in the UK.
Preferred Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching experience within a specialist, alternative, or mainstream education setting.
Essential Requirements: A valid UK driving licence (essential for community-based teaching outreach).
Strong written, verbal, and IT communication skills, with a patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
