About the Role
We are recruiting a dedicated Care Home Deputy Manager to provide temporary Maternity Cover at Wheatlands Care Home in Much Wenlock.
Working closely alongside the General Manager and assuming full operational leadership in their absence, you will inspire a multidisciplinary team to maintain exceptional care standards. You will drive clinical excellence, manage compliance, and champion a vibrant, supportive home environment for all residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Support operational leadership and deputise for the General Manager as required.
Lead and inspire care teams through supervised clinical practice, regular audits, and active quality assurance.
Manage regulatory compliance, clinical risk assessments, and safeguarding investigations.
Assist in managing home budgets, recruitment, HR processes, and local sales/marketing initiatives.
Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external healthcare professionals.
About You
To excel as Care Home Deputy Manager, you will bring:
Proven experience supporting residents with complex and diverse health needs.
A strong track record in leading clinical risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
Practical understanding of HR, budget monitoring, and care home occupancy/marketing strategies.
