About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Morrisons to recruit a dedicated Service Team Leader for their store in Gallowgate, Glasgow.

Whether you are a natural leader or a great customer assistant ready to take the next step in your career, you will act as the driving force behind the front-end checkout team. You will lead operations, drive service performance, and create a supportive, high-performing culture focused on delivering outstanding service to every customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence across all front-end service operations, utilizing headsets to support colleagues and help customers complete purchases quickly and efficiently.

• Lead, coach, and develop an engaging team that places customers at the heart of everything they do.

• Build a supportive, performance-driven culture where achievements and contributions are recognized and rewarded.

• Use operational dashboards and reports to make data-driven decisions, optimize the front-end experience, root-cause issues, and implement corrective actions.

• Ensure all policies, procedures, and legal obligations (including cash handling) are strictly followed.

• Coordinate day-to-day front-end communications and departments, including cash office, petrol station (where applicable), kiosk, customer service desk, trolleys, and car park.

• Minimize waste and delegate tasks to ensure a tidy, efficient department.

What The Role Requires

• Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships.

• Experience in developing and leading teams, coaching others to build competence, confidence, and high performance.

• Strong operational and technical knowledge of front-end Service departments.

• Able to effectively plan, organize, and manage your own workload as well as direct reports.

• Capable of working to strict deadlines in a busy environment.

• Must be over the school leaver’s age.
