About the Role

Support, develop, and deliver critical IT services for internal engineering teams! As a staffing partner, Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to recruit for this vital Senior Infrastructure Engineer position on behalf of BAE Systems.

Working within the Infrastructure Engineering team, you will bridge the gap between infrastructure and software development, driving efficiency through high levels of automation. You will resolve infrastructure support issues, maintain overall system performance and availability, and manage advanced enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Support & Design: Support the organisation’s IT infrastructure across Windows and Linux platforms while designing, deploying, and maintaining servers, storage, networking, and security systems.

• Hardware Deployment: Install, configure, and deploy IT hardware in line with infrastructure hosting requirements.

• Diagnostics & Problem Solving: Investigate and diagnose issues by gathering information from physical and digital sources, reviewing platform defects, and identifying contributing factors.

• Virtualised Environments: Administer virtualised production environments using industry-standard tools.

What We Are Looking For

• Wintel Administration: Proven Wintel systems administration experience including patching, Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server (2016–2025).

• Virtualisation Expertise: Proficiency in VMware and Horizon (vCenter, ESXi, vSAN) installation, patching, and maintenance.

• Network Security: Detailed understanding of network architecture with a focus on Palo Alto firewalls, network security technologies, and cyber security methodologies.

• On-Premise Platforms: Experience administering on-premise platforms, including Citrix and thin client technologies.
