At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are dedicated to connecting visionary social work leaders with organizations that prioritize relational, positive outcomes. We are proud to partner with Bradford Children and Families Trust to recruit an experienced and highly committed Team Manager for their Kinship Post Order Support team.
Operating within the Foster for Bradford service, this team plays a vital role in supporting kinship families once statutory interventions have ended. If you are a collaborative leader who wants to strengthen the Kinship local offer, champion Special Guardianship Order (SGO) support plans, and oversee vital Private Fostering initiatives, this is an exceptional opportunity to make a lasting difference in the Bradford district.
As the Team Manager for Kinship Post Order Support, you will work in a professional consultative, supervisory, and managerial capacity. You will lead a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, driving partnership working with Health, Education, the voluntary sector, and the national charity Kinship.
Additionally, you will hold oversight of Private Fostering, supervising the Private Fostering Officer and working closely with local partners to increase awareness of private fostering arrangements across the district.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Development: Partner with Senior Leaders, Team Managers, and Kinship the charity to build and evolve a robust Post Order support offer that meets the specific, long-term needs of kinship families.
Team Leadership & Supervision: Manage, support, and supervise a multi-disciplinary team of professionals, ensuring high-quality practice, timely appraisals, and professional development.
Private Fostering Oversight: Oversee and raise awareness of private fostering across the district, including the direct supervision of the Private Fostering Officer.
Collaborative Practice: Work restoratively with Service Managers, Social Workers, and Early Help colleagues to improve SGO support plans and foster partnership working.
Quality Assurance: Regularly audit case records, assessments, and documentation to ensure practice standards are consistently met.
Reflection & Decision Making: Provide clinical reflection, professional challenge, and evidence-informed decisions in complex situations, utilizing your delegated authority safely.
Voice of the Carer: Actively collaborate with kinship carers to ensure their lived experiences and feedback directly shape service developments.
We are looking for a resilient, relational, and experienced social work manager who possesses deep knowledge of kinship care, SGO frameworks, and private fostering standards.
Qualifications:
Dip.SW, CQSW, BA (Hons) Social Work, or an equivalent professional qualification.
Active registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.
Experience:
A minimum of 4 years of post-qualifying social work experience.
Proven experience in childcare and child protection, with extensive knowledge of working alongside foster and kinship carers.
Experience working with diverse service user groups, particularly from minority ethnic communities.
Expertise in interpreting and applying statutory legislation relating to children and/or adult services.
Requirements:
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by service needs.
An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Bradford Children and Families Trust is a National Living Wage employer that deeply invests in its staff. By joining this supportive, forward-thinking team, you will enjoy:

Generous Leave: 31 days of annual leave, rising to 34 days with continuous service (plus bank holidays).
Pension Scheme: Excellent Local Government Pension.
Work-Life Balance: Family-friendly policies and enhanced parental leave.
Health & Wellbeing: Full access to Occupational Health and confidential counselling services.
