Rate of Pay: From £65,000 per annum + fantastic benefits

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday across various shift patterns, On-Site)

About the Role

We are partnering with the prestigious King Edward VII's Hospital in Marylebone—a 56-bed private hospital with four operating theatres delivering consultant-led care across elective, day-case, and inpatient surgery—to find an experienced Lead Theatre Practitioner in Robotics on a permanent, full-time basis.

As a Lead Theatre Practitioner specialising in Urology, Gynaecology, and Colorectal surgery, you will play a pivotal role in developing the hospital's robotic service in line with organisational strategy, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver expert peri-operative holistic care.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and expand the robotic service as a key subject matter expert and independent holistic practitioner across the peri-operative period.

• Assist in all aspects of surgical specialties (Urology, Gynaecology, Colorectal), manage individual clinical caseloads, and handle scopes for minimally invasive procedures.

• Lead practice development, service improvement initiatives, and the implementation of clinical protocols, policies, and guidelines.

• Design and deliver specialist education and training programmes for patients, relatives, and clinical staff.

• Actively safeguard patient welfare, ensure safe post-operative handovers and documentation, and manage risk assessments, audits, and incidents.

What We Are Looking For

• Valid RN 1st level registration with the NMC, or ODP Level 3 NVQ / Diploma in Perioperative Practice with HCPC registration, plus a teaching/assessing qualification.

• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Theatre Practitioner in Robotics, with current experience as a Surgical First Assistant (SFA) considered highly desirable.

• Strong background in delivering clinical training, conducting audits, and developing best-practice policies.

• Excellent communication, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
