We are acting on behalf of Greenwich Health Ltd—the GP Federation committed to delivering high-quality care and building resilience across general practice in Greenwich—to recruit a dynamic, autonomous Bank Dressing Service Nurse.
In this flexible role, you will run nurse-led dressing clinics across four borough locations, seeing patients for a wide range of wound care needs (including general cuts, leg ulcers, post-op surgical wounds, suture removal, burns, and animal bite follow-ups). This position offers complete flexibility to book shifts around your lifestyle, with professional indemnity fully provided.
1. Clinical Care & Nurse-Led Clinics
Deliver evidence-based, compassionate, and personalised wound care across 4-hour clinic sessions.
Manage diverse presentations independently, including general wounds, post-incision and drainage abscesses, plastics post-op wounds, burn follow-ups, and foot/podiatry dressings.
Ensure high standards of care within available resources, monitoring quality continuously through audit processes.
2. Documentation & Quality Assurance
Maintain accurate, high-quality clinical electronic and paper records while respecting patient confidentiality at all times.
Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across primary care to ensure continuity of service provision.
Essential Criteria
Qualifications & Registration: 1st level Registered Nurse (RGN) qualified to Diploma or Degree level, holding current, unrestricted NMC professional registration.
Experience & Training: Recent wound care training update completed within the past year, alongside practical exposure or experience in wound management.
Competencies: Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and written communication skills; ability to work autonomously on initiative, prioritize workloads under pressure, and maintain strict confidentiality.
Requirements: Availability to staff shifts (with particular demand for Wednesdays from 18:00 to 21:00) and successful completion of an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
