About the Role
We are partnering with Trowbridge Oaks Care Home in Wiltshire to find a passionate and dedicated Kitchen Assistant on a flexible bank contract. Trowbridge Oaks is a modern, well-equipped care home offering nursing, residential, palliative, and respite care within a homely environment featuring landscaped wheelchair-accessible gardens and a bright conservatory.
As a Kitchen Assistant through Supportive Bridge, you will be part of the magic behind every delicious meal served, acting as a vital link between the main kitchen and our residents to ensure a wonderful dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the vital link between the main kitchen and our residents.
Assist the chefs in plating meals, preparing food trolleys, and ensuring all preparation areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe.
Monitor stock rotation, comply with company policies and procedures, and strictly follow all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
Assist with catering for special events and seasonal activities, such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
What Me Are Looking For
A passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen environment and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
A strong commitment to delivering excellent service and making residents feel right at home.
Excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach with wider kitchen and care home teams, and a caring nature that cherishes small moments with residents.
