Position: Kitchen Assistant / Bank Kitchen Assistant
Location: St Wilfrid's Priory Care Home, 2 London Road, Arundel, West Sussex, BN18 9BZ (Set in a beautiful, unique Grade II listed historic building offering warmth and tranquility)
Pay Rate: £13.01 per hour (plus higher rates of pay at weekends)

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are partnering to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Bank / Relief Kitchen Assistant for St Wilfrid's Priory Care Home in Arundel. Housed within a stunning Grade II listed former priory, our unique home is designed to promote warmth, dignity, and a profound sense of tranquility while providing expert residential and respite care.
As our Kitchen Assistant, you will join our passionate, hard-working catering team to help prepare and serve delicious meals, snacks, and drinks. By getting to know our residents and understanding their individual likes and dislikes, you will help ensure mealtimes are always a welcoming highlight of their day!
Kitchen Support: Assist the catering team with food preparation, cooking support, plating, and kitchen cleanliness.
Hygiene Standards: Maintain immaculate standards of kitchen hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.
Resident Engagement: Build warm relationships with residents to understand their dietary preferences, likes, and dislikes.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the wider catering and care teams to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Experience: No previous formal catering experience is required as full training is provided! Holding a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is helpful, but a passion for cooking and high hygiene standards is what matters most.
Personality: A positive, can-do individual with a friendly, enthusiastic approach and a genuine desire to help others.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage with elderly residents and colleagues alike.
Competitive Pay: £13.01 per hour, with higher rates for weekend shifts.
