About the Role
We are partnering with the exceptional Cottenham Court Care Home in Cambridge to find a passionate and dedicated Kitchen Assistant on a permanent, part-time contract. Situated in a picturesque village setting featuring en-suite rooms, a conservatory, a sensory herb garden, and a warm community feel, Cottenham Court treats mealtimes as an important part of the day.
As a Kitchen Assistant through Supportive Bridge, you will be part of the magic behind every delicious, nutritious dish served to our residents, acting as an essential link between the main kitchen and the people who call Cottenham Court home.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the vital link between the main kitchen and our residents, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.
Assist chefs in plating meals, preparing food trolleys, and maintaining immaculate, clean, and safe preparation areas.
Monitor stock rotation and strictly follow all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
Assist with catering for special events, including summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
What We Are Looking For
A passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
A strong commitment to delivering excellent service and making residents feel right at home.
Excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach with wider kitchen and care home teams, and a caring nature that cherishes the small moments with residents.
