Key Responsibilities
Shift & Team Leadership: Lead and manage the transport shift effectively, using transport systems like Tachomaster and Telematics, conducting driver debriefs, and supporting chargehands.
Compliance & Safety: Monitor vehicle and trailer servicing schedules, review tachograph downloads, investigate incidents, and ensure all operations adhere strictly to legal requirements and Health & Safety standards.
Live Operations Management: Manage the safe transportation and delivery of live birds to sites in partnership with factory and veterinary teams, ensuring high standards of bird welfare and continuity of supply.
Continuous Improvement: Coordinate training schedules, manage driver performance, and drive initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and overall operational performance.

What We Are Looking For
Experience: Proven experience leading teams within a transport or similar fast-paced operational environment, with at least 2 years in a production supervisory role.
Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a solid understanding of health & safety, food hygiene standards, and computer/data tracking systems.
Desirable Extras: IOSH Managing Safely, Food Safety Level 3, ILM management qualifications, CPC in National Road Haulage, or an LGV Class 1 Licence.
