Located in a picturesque town on the Leicestershire border, this facility is expanding its community-facing care. It features a newly launched 26-bed residential service specifically designed for working-age adults with ongoing mental health conditions who require dedicated support to live independently within the community.

As part of this growing team, you will provide a balance of practical and emotional support, using a personalized approach to help residents rebuild their confidence, develop vital life skills, and move forward into a healthier, more fulfilling future.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working alongside qualified clinical staff, your primary mission is to promote independent living, protect patient dignity, and facilitate successful rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

Care Plan Assistance: Help implement and monitor individualized care plans designed to meet residents' specific physical and emotional needs.
Daily Living Support: Assist residents with everyday tasks, including personal care (washing, dressing, eating) and light housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming, changing bedding).
Community Engagement: Accompany and support residents attending medical appointments and encourage participation in social or recreational activities that promote personal growth.
Observation & Reporting: Monitor residents' physical and emotional well-being closely, ensuring any changes are quickly reported to senior staff and documented.
MDT Collaboration: Work alongside external specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams, while helping residents maintain and develop important family connections.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

While a prior healthcare qualification is desirable, it is not essential. We are looking for individuals who possess the right core values, a friendly demeanor, and a patient approach.

Core Traits: A patient, naturally empathetic, and positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written English).
Resilience: Mental health care is incredibly rewarding but can be challenging. Staying calm under pressure and anticipating day-to-day challenges is vital.
Team & Policy Focus: The ability to work seamlessly within a multi-disciplinary team while strictly following safety policies and procedures.
Right to Work: You must have the legal right to work in the UK to be considered for this role.
