We are currently recruiting a Retail Shift Manager on behalf of a leading national food-on-the-go retailer known for its energetic store culture, excellent employee benefits, and strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
About the Role
As a Shift Manager, you will play a crucial leadership role on the store team. You will step in to manage shop operations when the Store Manager is away, keeping the team motivated, organized, and supported to deliver excellent results.
Our client serves customers across multiple channels—in-shop, Click & Collect, delivery, and drive-thru. You will lead by example to make sure every customer receives a fast, friendly, and high-quality experience.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Engage, inspire, and support team members to achieve great operational results and maintain high store standards.
Customer Service: Lead by example by providing fast, warm, and friendly service across all order channels.
Product Preparation: Assist in food preparation, including sandwich making and managing oven baking schedules.
Stock & Merchandising: Ensure display units are kept fully stocked, vibrant, and well-presented throughout the shift.
Store Operations: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, tidiness, and organization across the shop floor.
Candidate Requirements
Supervisory Experience: Previous team leading or supervisory experience in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
Leadership Qualities: Strong communication skills with a natural ability to motivate, lead, and support others.
Shift Availability: Must be available for early morning starts from 04:30 as well as closing shifts ending at 18:30.
