Support Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with essential public service providers to place top-tier talent where it matters most. We are currently recruiting an experienced Electrician to join the Justice and Immigration Facilities Management team at HMP Doncaster.
In this vital role, you will carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, fault finding, and installation work to keep a secure environment safe, compliant, and fully operational. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring essential services are always available when needed, making a meaningful, positive impact every day.
Fault Finding & Repair: Carry out expert fault finding, repairs, and defect rectification on electrical plant and equipment.
Preventative Maintenance: Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities strictly in line with statutory and contractual requirements.
Installations & Testing: Install new electrical plant, equipment, and associated systems, and inspect, test, and maintain electrical distribution systems (including low-voltage and high-voltage infrastructure where authorised).
Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret complex technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and maintenance documentation to ensure effective repairs.
Collaborative Safety: Work seamlessly with the wider maintenance team to uphold high standards of safety, compliance, and performance across the site.
Qualifications: Hold a City and Guilds Electrical Certificate or an equivalent recognised electrical trade qualification.
Apprenticeship: Completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship.
Regulations: Fully qualified to BS7671 (current edition of the IET Wiring Regulations).
Experience: At least five years of post-apprenticeship electrical trade experience.
Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a complex operational environment.
