Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off – Rotating Days & Nights (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
About the Role
As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are excited to partner with Greencore (following their recent combination with Bakkavor) to recruit skilled operations talent. Greencore is one of the UK’s leading convenience food creators, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their Leeds facility, the team produces over 40% of all UK frozen Yorkshire puddings, supplying household names like Asda, Morrisons, and Tesco. We are currently looking for a dedicated Machine Operator to join their dynamic production environment on a rotating 4-on-4-off shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
Machinery & Maintenance: Partner with Line Support, Hygiene, Shift Managers, and Engineering teams to troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain operational assets.
Problem Solving: Swiftly resolve mechanical and procedural issues to keep production running efficiently.
Quality & Safety: Complete quality documentation, check Critical Control Points (CCPs) for product safety, and adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Health & Safety regulations.
Efficiency Optimization: Help interpret production plans to improve quality and line efficiency based on equipment, planning, and crewing insights (full training provided).
What We Are Looking For
Technical Experience: Practical experience troubleshooting and maintaining factory machinery is required.
Industry Background: Experience working within a food manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential.
Communication & Organization: Good understanding of spoken and written English, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Flexibility: Fully able to work alternating day and night shifts on a 4-on-4-off rota.
