About the Role
We are recruiting a skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker / Gardener on a permanent full-time basis (37.5 hours per week) on behalf of Bradbury Grange in Whitstable, a welcoming and community-minded care home.
In this varied and rewarding role, you will be responsible for the general upkeep of the service, including buildings, equipment, grounds, and gardens. You will ensure a safe, comfortable, and attractive environment where residents, visitors, and colleagues feel welcome and supported.
What You Will Need
Essential Experience: Previous relevant maintenance experience and practical skills in general maintenance and/or gardening.
Trade Qualifications: A recognised trade qualification (e.g., City & Guilds in plumbing, joinery, electrical, or decorating) is desirable.
Organisation & Independence: The ability to work independently, manage planned preventative maintenance schedules, and coordinate with contractors.
Proximity & Attitude: A flexible approach to work, sensitivity to the needs of older people, and ideally living within 15 miles of Whitstable (CT5 4HE) for a manageable commute.
