Catering Assistant

In this essential kitchen support role, you will work alongside the culinary team to assist in daily meal preparation and maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and food hygiene. Whether you have previous kitchen experience or are new to catering, structured training and coaching will be provided to help you build a successful career.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, chopping vegetables, and preparing light meals while managing proper food storage.

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards by washing utensils, sanitizing prep areas, and safely storing cleaning materials.

• Support the Head Chef, Second Chef, and kitchen team in delivering daily mealtime services for care home residents.

• A caring, reliable, and team-oriented approach with a strong commitment to supporting resident health and wellbeing.

• Good organizational skills and high standards of personal hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety.
