Salary/Rate: £50,950.35 per annum (£23.25 per hour) + paid overtime at 1.5x hourly rate
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-time, 42 hours per week on average, 4 On 4 Off shift pattern, 06:00 AM – 18:00 PM)

About the Role
We are proud to partner with our client as a supportive staffing agency to recruit a skilled HGV Vehicle Technician for their workshop team in Bolton. This permanent role offers an incredible hourly rate (£23.25/hr), a clean working environment (all vehicles arrive pre-cleaned, emptied, and washed), a favorable 4-on-4-off schedule, and ongoing manufacturer training to support your career growth.
Key Responsibilities
Servicing & Maintenance: Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and comprehensive safety inspections on heavy goods and articulated vehicles.
Diagnostics & Repairs: Perform advanced diagnostics, fault finding, and mechanical repairs to ensure optimal fleet performance.
Compliance & Records: Ensure all vehicles strictly comply with DVSA and company standards while accurately completing job cards and maintenance records.
Working Environment & Pattern: Focus purely on technical vehicle maintenance without the hassle of cleaning, working an average of 42 hours per week on a 4-on-4-off rota (06:00 AM – 18:00 PM, including working bank holidays if they fall on your shift pattern).

What We Are Looking For
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent skills gained through experience) is ideal.
Licence: A valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV driving licence is required. (Please note: A basic DBS check will form part of the recruitment process).
Experience: Proven experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles, backed by strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Attitude: A positive attitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
