About the Role
Are you an experienced senior care professional with an NVQ Level 3 looking to lead a dedicated night team while earning a competitive hourly rate and a welcome bonus?
At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are currently recruiting a permanent Senior Night Carer on behalf of Barchester Healthcare to join the care team at Whitewater Place Care Home in Odiham.
In this pivotal nocturnal supervisory role, you will lead care staff on duty, ensure smooth night operations, and oversee the safety and comfort of residents. Your responsibilities will include delegating shift duties, administering and ordering medication, updating resident care plans and risk assessments, and liaising with district nursing teams, GPs, and family members as required.
Key Responsibilities
Night Shift Leadership: Lead, train, supervise, and delegate duties to night care assistants to deliver consistent, high-quality care.
Medication & Compliance: Manage night-time medication administration, ordering, care plan reviews, and clinical risk assessments.
Overnight Safety & Governance: Conduct regular rounds, ensure strict health and safety protocols, and maintain accurate handover logs for the day team.
Multidisciplinary Communication: Liaise with district nurses, emergency services, GPs, and family members regarding resident health and wellbeing.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
Experience: Proven experience in a residential care home setting, with demonstrated team leadership and night shift capabilities.
Skills: Strong decision-making, clinical care knowledge, medication management skills, and clear communication abilities.
