Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Change Grow Live (CGL) to recruit a passionate, dedicated, and specialist Chemsex Recovery Coordinator to join their team in Newham.
In this vital sole coordinator role, you will provide unwavering, tailored support to service users affected by Chemsex/Chems-related substance use from initial contact through their recovery journey. By implementing harm-reduction interventions, facilitating detoxification planning, and collaborating with community networks and mutual aid groups, you will empower service users to achieve social reintegration and lead fulfilling, purpose-driven lives.
Specialist Support & Interventions: Provide expert 1-to-1 engagement and group sessions focused on reducing the harm caused by Chemsex and related substance use.
Detoxification & Care Planning: Ensure service users receive comprehensive, recovery-focused detox plans, covering pre-detox preparation and post-care support.
Partnership Working & Advocacy: Collaborate with external organisations, community networks, and mutual aid groups to enhance recovery resources and act as a voice for service users.
Social Reintegration: Work closely with individuals to promote resilience, peer support, self-determination, and long-term social reintegration.
Lived/Professional Experience: Strong knowledge and practical experience in delivering interventions for service users affected by Chemsex/Chems-related substance use.
Community Connection: Ideally, applicants will be a member of the LGBTQIA+ community with lived or professionally based experience in this field.
Core Competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, high IT proficiency, and strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
Requirements: Supportive team player. Must hold the legal Right to Work in the UK (note: this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check).
Annual Leave: 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata), increasing by 1 extra day for each year of service during the first five years (up to 30 days).
