The Opportunity

We are partnering with an innovative team transforming how defense organizations leverage artificial intelligence by building advanced platforms that unify fragmented mission data and surface critical insights to operators faster.

They are looking for an exceptional Senior Java Software Engineer to build the core software systems that seamlessly connect secure data pipelines, cutting-edge AI models, and operational defense systems at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and scale secure Java-based data platforms.

• Connect advanced AI models and LLMs with mission-critical operational software.

• Develop high-volume data processing pipelines and robust microservices.

• Design scalable APIs and distributed backend systems.

• Drive the transition of emerging AI and data capabilities into secure production environments.

What Me’re Looking For

• Strong commercial experience building scalable backend systems with modern Java.

• Deep technical understanding of APIs, databases, and high-volume data pipelines.

• Background working with AI platforms, analytics, or complex defense software.

• Familiarity with Java 21, Spring AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG, vector databases, or knowledge graphs is highly advantageous.

• Experience with event-streaming tools (Apache Kafka, Spark) and cloud/container ecosystems (Kubernetes, AWS GovCloud).

• Note: Full-Scope Polygraph or relevant security clearance eligibility may apply depending on project requirements.
