ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Kitchen Assistant at Barchester Healthcare’s Lindum House Care Home, you will help deliver first-class food and hospitality essential to our residents' health and wellbeing. A healthy, nutritious diet is vital to daily care, making your role in the kitchen indispensable to the entire home.

Core Responsibilities:

• Meal Preparation & Hospitality: Assist the kitchen team in producing wholesome meals and creating an enjoyable dining experience for every resident.

• Kitchen Operations: Help maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety across food prep and kitchen areas.

• Resident Engagement: Interact with residents, get to know their dietary preferences, and help enhance their overall daily hospitality experience.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a reliable, considerate, and caring individual who takes pride in maintaining the highest standards in food preparation and hygiene.

Requirements & Skills:

• Attributes: Reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about resident wellbeing.

• Experience: No formal qualifications are required, though previous experience in a commercial kitchen or care home setting is beneficial.

• Skill Development: Full training is provided, offering plenty of opportunities to expand your culinary and hospitality skills.
