Junior Activities Assistant (Bank)

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic Junior Activities Assistant (Crèche Assistant) to join the team at the Devonshire Fitness & Wellbeing Club in Plymouth, UK. In this role, you will be dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming, and stimulating crèche environment where children can learn, play, and explore their full potential.

Working on a flexible bank contract basis, you will support crèche operations on an ad-hoc schedule to suit facility requirements and your availability, specifically between the hours of 09:00 and 13:00. You will nurture children's physical, emotional, and social development while working within the framework of current childcare legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a clean, secure, and stimulating educational environment with appropriate play equipment.

• Support children’s holistic development through structured play, creative activities, and age-appropriate learning opportunities.

• Regularly liaise with parents and carers in a warm, professional, and informative manner to ensure high standards of care.

Requirements

• Childcare qualification such as NNEB, NVQ Level 3, or BTEC (EYPS and Paediatric First Aid qualifications are highly desirable).

• Proven experience working within a crèche, nursery, or early years setting.

• Availability to work shifts during morning hours (09:00 - 13:00) with a passionate, child-centered approach.
