Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our trusted asylum accommodation and support partners for a dedicated Maintenance Operative.
Operating across Blackburn and Lancashire, you will play a critical role under the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC). You will ensure all requested reactive, proactive, and pre-planned property repairs are carried out to the highest standard and within strict SLA deadlines, providing safe and well-maintained temporary accommodation for individuals navigating the asylum system.
Property Repairs: Deliver a wide range of maintenance tasks (including joinery, fitting, plumbing, painting, and decorating) to an exceptional standard.
SLA Compliance: Manage your own daily workflow efficiently to ensure repairs are completed promptly and within contractual timelines.
Health & Safety: Maintain strict standards of health and safety for yourself and property users during and after all completed works.
Materials & Asset Management: Procure and manage required materials using company accounts with approved suppliers only, while keeping provided company vehicles and tools in a professional, clean condition.
Out-of-Hours On-Call: Participate in an on-call rota (approximately once every 8–10 weeks) to provide 24/7 emergency cover as required by the contract.
Practical Experience: Proven background in property maintenance, general building trades, joinery, plumbing, or painting and decorating.
Licence Requirement: A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
Self-Motivation: Highly motivated, organised, and capable of working independently across a field-based region as well as collaborating within a team.
Vetting Requirement: Successful completion of security clearance checks and Home Office approval.
Competitive Package: Base salary ranging from £27,500 to £33,500 per annum based on experience.
