What Is Required From You?
A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK.
Previous experience working within a kitchen setting is essential.
Flexibility to work 28 hours per week, including alternate weekends.
A Day in the Life of a Kitchen Assistant
Meal Preparation: Support the chef in creating healthy, balanced meals and snacks, ensuring a thorough understanding of various dietary requirements and allergens.
Cleanliness & Safety: Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen area, upholding strict hygiene levels in line with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols.
Teamwork & Independence: Work seamlessly as part of a team while possessing the ability to work alone when needed, effectively managing your time.
Resident Engagement: Offer warmth, support, communication, and engagement to the residents during meal times and around the home.
About You
You don't necessarily need to have worked in a care setting before—backgrounds in other catering environments are fantastic for someone willing to learn! We look for candidates who have prior knowledge of food safety and COSHH, coupled with a caring, self-motivated, and enthusiastic personality that shows genuine empathy toward the needs of others.
