Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is currently seeking a skilled and practical Handyperson to join the team at Langford View in Bicester, Oxfordshire. Role Overview

Position: Handy Person / Maintenance Assistant
Location: Langford View, Coach House Mews, Bicester, OX26 6EW
Pay Rate: £14.21 per hour (Higher rates of pay at weekends)
Contract Type: Permanent, 37 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Closing Date: Monday, 31st August 2026

Langford View offers specialist, high-quality residential, nursing, early-stage dementia, and respite care for up to 60 residents in calm, friendly, and comfortable surroundings.

What You Will Be Doing

Maintaining the overall fabric of the building, including heating, lighting, plumbing, and surrounding gardens.
Conducting regular routine checks on boilers, water systems, and completing all essential health and safety checks.
Getting to know residents and their families, even inviting residents to lend a hand and get involved in maintaining their home environment.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: Previous experience in a similar maintenance role with strong practical, DIY, or trade skills (an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Facilities Services or equivalent is a bonus, but not essential).
Key Traits: Comfortable working in an elderly care setting, able to relate to residents with care and sensitivity, and confident working on your own initiative.
