On behalf of our client, Barchester Healthcare, we are currently recruiting dedicated Bank Food & Beverage Assistants to join the team at Stoneham Grove Care Home in Reading.

About the Role
As a Bank Food & Beverage Assistant, you will step in during peak periods, sickness, or annual leave cover to work alongside the kitchen and hospitality teams, delivering warm, high-standard dining experiences across the care home.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Dining Area Preparation & Service: Setting up dining spaces, serving wholesome meals and refreshments to residents, guests, and family members.
Warm Resident Engagement: Interacting attentively with residents to ensure their dietary preferences are met in a comfortable, inviting environment.
Kitchen & Hygiene Support: Assisting with light kitchen duties, maintaining strict food safety and hygiene practices, and keeping service areas spotless.
Flexible Shift Cover: Covering day shifts on a bank basis according to your availability and the home’s requirements.
About You

Key Requirements:
Experience: Background in hospitality, catering, food service, or customer service settings.
Hygiene & Safety: Working understanding of food hygiene and health & safety standards.
