We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic Swimming Coordinator to join the team at South Charnwood Leisure Centre on behalf of Leisure Solutions Community Trust (LSCT).
In this vital role, you will play a key part in helping people of all ages build water confidence, develop essential life skills, and enjoy active lifestyles. You will lead and grow the swimming lesson programme, mentor a talented team of instructors, and drive community engagement.
As a Swimming Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and develop a team of qualified Swimming Teachers, handling recruitment, rotas, performance, and training.
Programme Growth: Coordinate and expand the swimming lesson programme, introducing new sessions and courses to meet community needs.
Service Delivery: Ensure high-quality, engaging lesson delivery that drives customer retention and repeat participation.
Community & Partnerships: Build strong relationships with customers, local schools, and partners to support outreach and programme awareness.
Performance & Operations: Monitor KPIs and reporting to improve the customer experience, while stepping in to teach lessons when required to maintain service levels.
Qualifications: Hold a valid Swim England Level 2 or STA Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification.
Experience: Previous experience managing or supervising teams within a leisure or aquatics environment, alongside a strong track record of delivering swimming programmes.
Core Skills: Excellent communication, organisational, and customer service skills, with the ability to build trust and confidence.
Technical Skills: Comfortable using IT systems and producing operational reports.
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role (provided free of charge by the employer). Candidates will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to ensure proper support is provided.
