As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support our catering team in food preparation and maintain a clean, hygienic environment for the safe production of quality meals and beverages. Your hard work will ensure residents enjoy nutritious, delicious meals delivered as part of an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand and apply principles of safe food handling to ensure all kitchen preparations meet the highest hygiene standards.
Contribute fully to team working, responding positively to colleagues and actioning work instructions promptly.
Advise on the supply and quality of items used, ensuring the timely and appropriate ordering of replacement goods.
Act courteously toward residents and visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.

Qualifications & Hygiene: Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
Knowledge & Skills: Good working knowledge of Health and Safety (particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments).
Attributes: An efficient worker capable of sustained physical effort, able to handle a demanding workload with initiative, flexibility, and a caring attitude toward residents.
Requirements: Applicants must have proof of eligibility to work in the UK and undergo a DBS disclosure check (cost met by Avery Healthcare).
