Role Overview
Position: Kitchen Assistant
Location: Whitefriars, St George's Avenue, Stamford, PE9 1UN
Pay Rate: £13.01 per hour (Higher rates of pay at weekends)
Contract Type: Permanent, 24 hours per week
Closing Date: Monday, 31st August 2026
About Whitefriars
Whitefriars Care Home offers friendly and compassionate residential and dementia care for up to 56 residents. Situated in a quiet residential location close to the historic centre of Stamford, the home is within walking distance of local amenities, including the hospital, retail park, and leisure pool.
What You Will Be Doing
Working with our passionate and hardworking catering team to prepare delicious meals, snacks, and drinks.
Getting to know residents personally, learning their likes and dislikes so that mealtimes are always a highlight of their day.
Maintaining pristine kitchen hygiene standards with a positive, can-do approach.
What We Are Looking For
No formal catering experience required: While a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is helpful, full training is provided—what matters most is your passion for cooking and high hygiene standards!
Great communication skills: Confident in interacting with elderly residents to understand their individual needs and preferences.
A team player: Eager to collaborate with the wider home team and ensure residents receive the best possible service.
