At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are currently recruiting Bank Registered Nurses (RGN) on behalf of Barchester Healthcare to join the clinical care team at St Thomas Care Home in Basingstoke.
In this key flexible nursing position, you will oversee the holistic care—physical, psychological, and social—of residents in a warm, person-centered setting. Exercising your clinical judgment to make sound care decisions, your duties will range from administering medicines safely and conducting risk assessments to updating tailored care plans and leading shift staff with professional excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Holistic Clinical Nursing: Assess, plan, and deliver tailored nursing care that supports the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of residents.
Medication & Governance: Administer medication safely and manage clinical inventory in accordance with Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines and home protocols.
Care Planning & Compliance: Formulate accurate care plans, complete thorough risk assessments, and maintain compliance with DoLS/MCA frameworks and CQC standards.
Shift Leadership: Supervise and guide care assistants on duty, acting as the lead clinical professional during your shift.
Flexible Coverage: Pick up shifts across days or nights to provide essential cover for annual leave, sickness, or peak operational demands.
Requirements & Qualifications
Professional Registration: Active, unencumbered NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).
Clinical Skills: Up-to-date clinical practice skills, medication management expertise, and proven care planning ability.
Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of DoLS/MCA guidelines and relevant statutory frameworks.
