We are currently seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Head Housekeeper on behalf of our partner, Avery Healthcare, at their luxury Birchmere Mews Care Home in Solihull.
Your core focus will be leading the housekeeping and laundry services team, ensuring hotel-standard cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation to support a high-quality, comprehensive care environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing all housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained consistently.
Preparing and managing orders for cleaning materials with approved suppliers for Home Manager approval, maintaining appropriate stock levels within budget limits.
Monitoring the quality of work performed by the housekeeping and laundry team.
Supervising, directing, and mentoring team members, providing hands-on instruction and demonstrations for new staff on cleaning tasks and proper materials.

Our Ideal Candidate Must Have:
Proven experience in cleaning and managing laundry within a public or professional setting.
Sound knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
Genuine compassion and a strong commitment to delivering a high-quality environment for residents.
Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, motivate, and develop teams.
A satisfactory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check (costs covered by the employer).
Valid proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
