About the Role

Glebe House, a residential service beautifully situated semi-rurally on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds in Caistor, is looking to recruit a dedicated Bank Support Worker to join the team.

Our service supports 24 male and female residents with primary mental health needs, offering a vital step-down environment for individuals transitioning from hospital settings back into the community. We also support residents with co-occurring conditions, including:

Learning disabilities or autism spectrum conditions
Mild to moderate behaviours that challenge
Communication difficulties, epilepsy, diabetes, or ADHD

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our compassionate team, you will ensure the smooth running of the service and play an active role in creating a positive, structured, and empowering environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Person-Centred Care: Meet the individual needs of residents, including assisting with personal care, daily living tasks, and encouraging participation in activities.
Daily Administration: Complete routine admin tasks, including updating person-centred care plans, charts, and maintaining accurate daily notes.
Relationship Building: Develop strong rapport with residents, their families, visitors, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Peer Support: Provide helpful advice and guidance to less experienced staff members undertaking similar duties.

What You'll Bring to the Role

Supporting individuals step down from hospital settings is incredibly rewarding but requires resilience, empathy, and patience. No two days are the same, and your natural emotional intelligence will help residents navigate their recovery journeys.

Experience: Prior experience working within a similar care, mental health, or residential environment.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively support, understand, and communicate with our residents.
Team Mindset: A collaborative approach and a willingness to guide peer colleagues when needed.
